Workers interested in becoming a WOSH Specialist attend the course where they are introduced to key occupational safety and health concepts as well as learn important leadership skills. This workshop will include up-to-date information about the new coronavirus and prevention activities. The WOSH Specialist Training Program is part of a statewide effort, sponsored by the Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation within the California Department of Industrial Relations, to reduce job-related injuries and illnesses among California workers. This FREE interactive training provides employees with the resources and tools to take a leadership role in promoting health and safety in their workplace. Identifying and controlling hazards, ergonomics, workload and stress, communication skills, workers’ comp and return-to-work, and workers’ rights are just a few topics we will cover throughout the training!
